New Baby Girl Card with Mo Manning image - Spit Happens / Echo Park Papers

Oh, I've been so busy lately I just can't keep this blog up to date and we've had some
really great weather so who want to sit indoors cutting and glueing when there's
sunshine to be enjoyed :)

Today I've got a New Baby card using this fabulous digi image from Mo Manning
called "Spit Happens" isn't she a wee cutie.
I've also used some digital papers from Echo Park -
Mo will probably want to kill me for this but the eyes just weren't working for me
so I've added a wee bit of ink and rounded them up.

Wedding Card with KennyK's Wedding Dance Digi and Spellbinders Dies

Wedding Card with KennyK's Wedding Dance Digi and Spellbinders Dies

A Wedding Card today using another fabulous digi from KennyK - Wedding Dance.
I've used this wee digi on loads of cards and they've always been popular with the receipients.

This time I've used an Aqua Blue colour which is a lovely summery colour and I've used
the Spellbinders background die Botanic Swirls which I have previously struggled with to cut -
however,
my Grand Calibur machine was making some very strange noises
so to save the bother of having to send it off to be fixed - I took it apart,
as I'm not normally one to be beaten by a few screws.
I'm pleased to say it was really easy to fix as there are only 4 screws and a few clips that can come off.
Three of the Four screws that hold the turning mechanism had come out and one of the clips.
No wonder it was so noisy, mind you some of them were probably always loose and I'm pleased to announce, it's working better now than ever, yeahhhhh!!!

Still not the easiest of dies to cut though, as it has to be well taped down and it takes
several passes through the machine to get a clean cut and to emboss with out any movement.
This card uses approximately one and a half sheets of the cut background.

Images are printed onto 300gsm good quality card stock and I've then paper pieced the
dress and veil in the same White Centura Pearl as the rest of the card so the gleam on the image
matches the lovely gleam on the Pearl card stock.

You're Fabulous using KennyK's Frieda Flapper

You're Fabulous using KennyK's Frieda Flapper

A thunder storm today, thankfully it didn't last too long and it had been overdue
with all the heat we've been having.
Only sheet lightening this time so nothing very exciting.
Doesn't the air smell nice and clean after a storm, well ours does today
and I hope the sun comes back again, we've been waiting a long time for a summer
and we haven't had enough yet.
***

I've had this wee digi stamp Frieda Flapper from KennyK for a while now
and this is the first chance I've had to colour her - starting this time with Pinks and Yellows
but I think she'll be nice in purples and in shades of bright green.

I got some new dies this week - Fishtail Banners from Die-namics -
had to order them from Ohio, USA, as I couldn't find any here
and I've been looking for some time, thought they'd be handy for Christmas
and just to try them out I've used them here for my sentiment.

Engagement Card with KennyK Digis and Echo Park paper

Engagement Card with KennyK Digis - Teen Idol & Drama Queen and Echo Park paper

We are enjoying the most fantastic spell of hot weather, up to 30 degrees some days
and seeing we had a winter there, that lasted for about 2 and a half years, lol,
it's just about killing us, almost impossible to sleep, and really not good for the crafting
- like, who wants to be indoors in this heat and will the glue and tape hold
or will it melt - here's hoping it's not the latter :)

This is an unusual design for an Engagement Card but I wanted to make it quite sassy
and I thought that these two digi characters from KennyK just suited it fine.
I love the expression on her face.

I've used Aqua and Red - aqua is such a lovely summer colour and
well, always red for love, plus, it's one of my favourites.

Bugaboo Stamps -  http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
and Beccy's Place -  http://www.beccysplace.com/

This card is using a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps.

Stamp - Beautiful blocks - Thoughts and Prayers -https://bugaboostamps.3dcartstores.com/Beautiful-blocks--Thoughts-and-Prayers_p_2341.html#
I've changed the digi stamp colour from black line to pink line as I thought
those sweet little flowers would look nice in pink and I didn't want
black lined words on my card.
I've also used the Anja Corner Die from Marianne Designs.

21st Birthday Card for Son using a KennyK's digi - Soccer

21st Birthday Card for Son using a KennyK's digi - Soccer

Another boys card, I seem to be on roll at the minute and again I'm using another terrific
wee digi stamp from KennyK downloads.com called, Soccer.

I started this time with an old card sketch from Mojo Monday, but as it was for a boy,
I left out the flower and bow and added a couple of corners and a tag and
switched things around a bit to suit my digi. These card sketches are great as a lot
of the planning is done for you, all you really need to do is choose the papers
and these come from Echo Park, I just loved the big coloured dots.
The 14 is on the football top because this is the number on his own football shirt
and I added the little "O'Neills" soccer balls as they sponsor his team.

Main products used -

KennyK digi stamp - Soccer
Spellbinder die - Sprightly Sprockets
Crafts Too die - Circle
Echo Park Paper - Little Boy
Coloured with both Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs.

Woohoo!!!!       I made the Brown Sugar Challenge Top 3 with this card   !!!!!!

I've flipped the image this time so he appears to be going the other way.
I've also made my own simple backing papers for this card.
